Tow-in session

27_7527_8227_8027_7627_7927_7727_83

Sunday afternoon, coming back from Galdar, a little bit disappointed after missing the best from the bodyboarding session at El Fronton, I saw from the road a jetsky on the face of a big wave at El Paso, so a decided to take a closer look.

Once I found a place with a good view of the line up and had all my gear ready to shoot, I saw from my long lens that the riders were my friends Dario Ojeda and Andres Martinez in what I think was their first tow session, and the waves were absolutely perfect for that.

To watch more photos from the session go to the PHOTO section.

Natural wonders

These photos don't make justice to what I could see and feel yesterday at El Fronton, at the North West corner of Gran Canaria. To have a reference of the size, you can take a look at my fiend Ruben Grimon website; he was taking photos the day before, a little bit smaller but more perfect (no wind), no takers yesterday, too wild.

Preview

Amazing Sunday at the north shore of Gran Canaria, El Fronton was a mutant monster from another planet, I'll hate myself for being late (tide was going down and conditions deteriorating when I arrived), but later on, when I was going back home, from the road I saw a jetsky approaching a big set at El Paso, so I decided to look closer, Dario and Andres were there enjoying some really nice ones.

Saturday at El Fronton

27_6027_5827_5927_57

Every time I come to the northwest corner of Gran Canaria and El Fronton is breaking, I wonder why I don't come more often, because this wave is absolutely amazing, for sure one of the best waves of the world, I thing I'm not exaggerating if I say is one of the 5 best waves of the planet.
Today was far from epic, the left, which is the main wave, was barely breaking, but even it was not big, there were some nice righthanders.
The forecast for tomorrow looks really good, so I'm going to sleep; I'm waking up early tomorrow.
