Sunset

The sunset this evening was absolutely amazing, I have no picutures because I was in the water, surfing at Los Muellitos, it was small but nice, with a light offshore breeze and one of the most spectacular skys I've ever seen, and from the water I think is the most amazing place to watch a sunset.

551550553552

We are starting a new section today at Pozo News, and our first "rider of the week" is Raquel, not only she upgraded from Salinas to Pozo at the end of the Summer, but she suprised me again today, windsurfing on freeride-slalom equipment and going really fast.

Orca surf

I guess this is one of those situations where go to the beach for a surf, there are good waves, but don´t get in the water.

Cabo Verde World Cup

Today starts the waiting period for the last PWA event of the year in Cabo Verde. With the 2010 windsurfing wave world champion still to decide, any of the riders at the top five (1-Víctor Fernández, 2-Ricardo Campello, 3-Philip Köster, 4-Kauli Seadi and 5-Dany Bruch) could claim the title, but never forget the specialists in those kind of conditions, maybe not in the fight for the title but a major thread for the top guys on his way to the title.

Windsurf in the afternoon

By lunchtime, Mosca Point started to look nice for windsurfing, but the wind was a little bit too light and too onshore, that combined with a surfing crowd, made the session too difficult and risky, everybody finished on the rocks at least once, Aleix (pictured) was one of the most persistent, and I think he went on the rocks like three times, but broke nothing, so kept triying till the wind slowed down even more.

Surf in the morning

The day started glassy (light offshore sometimes) and with nice waves, wich were supposed to peak during the afternoon, but a moderate onshore breeze came at lunchtime.
I´ll post more photos tomorrow.

Big Wednesday

We are expecting a big swell for wednesday, the swell is supposed to rise in just a few hours, so if you go surfing early in the morning and is not that big, be careful, watch out the sets and think the waves can get much bigger at any time.

Last day at the Islas Canarias Ocean & Earth Pro

Today is the last day of the waiting period for the Islas Canarias Ocean & Eart Pro, at El Confital, after two days with no waves, the swell should start to pick up for what is supposed to be "The Big Wednesday".

I always thought, no matter how or with what we ride waves if we have fun and respect the other people on the water, I'm sure the guy in the picture knows what I'm talking about.
