It is not the breaking but the boomhead gets loose over time. Friction. How does this one differ over the normal boomhead you can buy from streamlined?
First, it is made of aluminium, so this part does not give up the shape over time. The parts that are in contact with the boom as you can see in the pictures are made of Urethane which is highly resistant, and snaps to the boom. If with time the urethane degrades, the pieces are sold separately and very easy to change. Basically this is a boomhead for life. The head no longer is the weak piece of the rig...
