The poster you can see in the photo (epic Mundaka, with Wayne Linch riding and Jakue Andikoetxea behind the lens), have been living with me for a long time, I think it was one of the first Billabong Pro Mundaka, I can’t remember the year, but was something like 20 years ago. I’ve been wishing for another day like that one during a Billabong Pro Mundaka since then, but that never happened... maybe this year.
At he moment, this morning the competition started with small but nice barrels over the sandbar of Mundaka, the 8 first heats of the first round were completed, then the tide was too high.
Tomorrow at 8 am the best surfers of the world will be checking the conditions, the forecast doesn’t look amazing, but with the waves you never know, so let’s see if we have a Mundaka like the one in the wallpaper this year.
