Saturday
Great day for windsurfing, the wind was light and a little bit more onshore than usual, but got better during the morning and now people are sailing on 4,7 and despite de full tide, some little fun waves are breaking on the shore.

Photos from yesterday
Just finished editing one of the four cards I shooted yesterday afternoon at El Llotet To watch more photos from the session click HERE.
In a few hours I'll publish all the photos.
Fanning wins in Portugal
Joel Parkinson lost against Bede Durbidge in a full australian semi final affair, so he keeps his chances for the world title.
In the other semi final, Mick Fanning did not event get wet, because the wildcard and giant killer Owen Wright who in his way to the semi final defeated: Kekoa Bacalso, Kelly Slater, Dane Reynolds and Damien Hobgood, finished quarter final march up against Damien with an ear drum perforation, so he is not allowed to go in the water for a while.
And now in Peniche is time for the girls, now live in really good waves: http://live.ripcurl.com

Wave Classic Tour
Wave Classic Tour_Promo Clip from Open Ocean Media on Vimeo.
I read this morning at Windsurfjournal a small interview with Steve Palier one of the organizers of the Wave Classic (www.fuertewaveclassic.com and www.reunionwaveclassic.com) and he says it will be four Wave Classic contest for 2010, meanwhile PWA the only thing they announce is that they are not publishing the 2010 calendar at the moment. Will be the Wave Classic the real World Tour for 2010?Tuesday, October 27, 2009

El Confital
Once again the competition in El Confital has not disappointed, despite being downgraded from four to two stars, this year's event, surf, waves, and the organization have been at the highest level (although I recognise that especially in the waves of the first day many of us would have liked to see what were able to do the best surfers in the world in such large and difficult conditions).
On Saturday we left the most beautiful corner of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, the natural park of El Confital, with a good feeling and with the hope that next year a big sponsor bet for this jewel we have in the Canary Islands and we can see a competition at the highest possible level.

El Confital perfection
Sorry but I'm exausted after swiming against the current for more than two hours, I'll post the photos tomorrow morning.
El Confital
The day started with a nice new swell, but maybe a little bit too big for the shallow reef of El COnfital, and the tide was already too low, so we waited for the tide coming up after lunchtime, by then everything was in the right place and we had an amazing day of surfing.
Next call tomorrow at 13:00, for more information: www.aspeurope.com

Big waves
For a week, everybody have been talking about the waves that were coming for Thursday, the forecast looks insane, can´t wait.
For sure the sunset this afternoon was showing a change of weather, for sure the waves are coming, the doubt is where will be the best place to surf, becouse looks like most of the spots in the noth will be closing out or breaking outside the reefs, but the swell direction is NNW, so maybe doesn't turn arroud the island to the east side, lets see what happens.
