Danger

There's no mast anymore to signal the big rock on the right side of the beach as it broke two weeks ago, now we are having strong tides and the rock is completely covered during the high tide (today two guys crashed against the rock) so be careful if you are sailing in Pozo Izquierdo during the high tide.

Dusty Payne wins the Kustom Air Strike with 50.000$ for an air.

Sunday 26th

The photo is from yesterday, nobody is sailing at the moment today, it’s clouded (with some calima) and flat, but the wind is already there, was lighter early in the morning, but now you can sail wit a 5 or 4,7 but looks like is no hurry on going sailing, maybe is because we had a little overdose of wind yesterday.

Saturday afternoon

Strong wind(3,7) and nearly flat now with the high tide (was full at 14:18), waves are supposed to get better later in the afternoon as the tide goes down.

Saturday 25th

The wind is back.
It’s 10 am, and even though is a bit clouded, the wind looks perfect for the 4,7 so I’m giving a try. Next update at lunch time.

Sunday in Las Salinas

Perfect ending for a windy Easter week, we had wind every single day of the week, and spent the Sunday in the friendly spot of Las Salinas de Arinaga, strong wind, flat water and amazing people having a great day at the beach.
In the next days we will publish a complete report of the spot.

Sunday at noon

The day started with clouds and inconsistent winds, but right now the clouds have gone and the wind looks pretty stable, like for 4,7-4,2.
By the way, today in El Pais (spanish newspaper) supplement it's a really nice 8 pages article with photos of waves, mostly shooted from inside the barrel.

A pot of wind at the end of the rainbow

After all day with inconsistent winds, late in the afernoon, with an amazing rainbow, the wind turned a few degrees and picked up just enough for a late session with the 4,7 (the kid on the yellow Simmer was on 3,7 but that's another story).

Photos from Fernando Sanchez

Our friend and good photographer Fernando Sánchez just updated his website with some great photos from the last days in Pozo and the Spanish windsrurfing tour last weekend in Tenerife.

Looking for waves

When we have strong wind in Pozo but it's nearly flat, is time to drive along the coast, you can have a nice surprise just arround the corner.

4,7-4,2 and a litte bit gusty

The clouds have gone, perfect day in the 4,7-4,2 range, a little bit gusty, but warm enough to start using the shory.

Still windy

The day started slow, with light to moderate winds, a little bit too north (which means gusty in Pozo) and with big clouds, but the wind picked up (I'm rigging 4,2 as soon as I post this) and the clouds are starting to leave.
The forecast says we are having strong winds again this afternoon.

Yesterday’s strong winds performed a significant transformation to the windsurfing sculpture in the avenue in front of the beach in Pozo Izquierdo.

Picaresque

New video from Mikey Detemple, a little wonder of creativity and aestheticism, characteristics we usually miss in windsurfing videos.

Thursday with wind and waves

Great sailing condirions this morning, with sails in the 3,7-4,2 range, and waves arround half mast on the sets.
As we can see in this second image, the nuclear winds we had yesterday, caused some little damages.
