Victor Fernandez has been nominated for the Laureus Awards as World Action Sportsperson of the year. Other nominees are Kelly Slater and Stephanie Gimore, but of course our best wishes are for Victor.

By the way, it´s windy again today in Pozo Izquierdo, at the moment it's 5,3 - 4,7 but looks like will be stronger this afternoon.

Wind & waves

The day started with some nice small waves in Pozo Izquierdo, but the wind was too East and too light for windsurfing, so was not promising at all, but night now we have the propper NE wind direction and people are sailing on 5,3 - 4,7 sails, with some little fun waves.

The perfect ending for the best Chrismas for surfing in the last five years, today and maybe tomorrow, we have wind for windsurfing in Pozo Izquierdo in the last weekend of the holydays.

Perfect day to go out with the paddle board in Pozo Izquierdo; warm, sunny and flat, not the perfect windsurfing conditions you expect for Pozo Izquierdo, but with such a nice weather, it's allways nice to be out at sea.

Slalom conditions to start the year in Pozo Izquierdo, as the wind is more East than usual, the South of the island should have better windsurfing conditions. The pictures are from a few days ago, with south wind in Vargas.
