Today starts the waiting period for the Hurley Pro at Lower Trestles, California, the first event with the new format of 36 and key event this season, where after five events we have five different winners.
Looks like the waves will be there for a start of the competition today at 08:00 local time (16:00 GMT) and Dane Reynolds is in the first heat of the day.
